After 4 years in our teeny tiny ale house on St John street, an opportunity arose that we couldn’t refuse! You can now find us in the main bar of the Red Lion Hotel. We have even more speciality real ale, serving five cask ales from the best local and regional breweries. With our wall of taps we can now offer up to 13 craft beers, lager and 5 real ciders.
We have brought our little vinyl record store with us and continue to sell quality used vinyl alongside new reissues.
Having used the Restaurant as an event space for 2 years we’ve found the perfect Food creators to reinvigorate the restaurant into something truly unique and special. The new owners will excite not just our customers but the whole County. Look out for the opening in October/November !
We worry about the environment so have switched to carbon neutral heating and energy, eco waste management, environmentally sound cleaning products. We re always thinking of new was to reduce, reuse, recycle and refuse, if you have any innovations let us know.

The second hand in house record shop does include new vinyl from some of the amazing live bands we have that come through our doors. Thanks to our welcoming hotel rooms, generous bar policy and amazing sound man Phil bands want to play here, and we’ve quickly become part of a thriving UK touring scene. We also nurture our home grown talent with gigs, regular Jams, Sessions, support slots in the Pub and Gallery. We love music and the in house stereo system install proves that!!
